Doom Blade: Shining and the Darkness Gaiden
The story told in the comic connects the events of Shining Force and Shining and the Darkness and includes characters from both. The events depicted may be related to sequel ideas that went unexplored when Climax left the Shining series. Climax developers would incorporate elements of the Doom Blade setting in the Super Famicom game FEDA, for which they formed the studio Max Entertainment. Yoshitaka Tamaki would reintroduce Arms as a character in Shining Soul II.
